BAFA INVEST — a German Investment Grant

COLIPI has been approved for the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA) investment grant called “INVEST”.

The INVEST grant helps connecting startups with business angels. This is facilitated by web platforms and data bases listing INVEST granted startups like COLIPI which can be assessed by registered business angels. On top of that the German government supports the “business angel startup match” by reimbursing 20% of the business angel’s equity investment or 10% of convertible loan investment. There is only a few criteria that must be met:

• minimum investment of €25.000 per investor
• maximum investment of €500.000 per investor and year (if coupled with milestones, single transactions must be minimum €25.000)
• maximum of total INVEST subsidized investments of €3.000.000 per year
• primary investor residence is within the European Economic Area
